Dates for your Diary
Sun 28 October 3 p.m. at St. Nicholas, Memorial and Thanksgiving Service in memory of those we have lost.
Wed. 31 October
6 p.m. An opportunity to celebrate Light and Love on the eve of All Hallows. An event will take place in St. Nicholas' Churchyard to which local families are invited. If the weather is fine, we will be lighting lanterns and placing them around the graveyard (families who have loved ones buried there may wish to place a lantern on their grave). If wet, we will light lanterns in church. This is NOT a celebration of halloween in the sense that most people today are used to, but is an event to remember the importance of light and love shining in the darkness of our world, and never going out. All church members are invited, as well as families that we have contact with via local schools and uniformed organisations. Children should be accompanied by adults and supervised at all times. All are invited to wear light bright clothes, not halloween costumes.
